I am based in a village near Folkestone, but work anywhere, I have a base in Launston in Cornwall and London as well.
I started my career in the BBC Film Unit at Ealing and was there for 13 years. This was a great experience and I worked on an amazing diversity of programs, in locations around the world. Lots of world music programs and Panaramas. Added to this was the opportunity to use an immense diversity of gear and formats, 35mm, 16mm, beta, multi camera, digital sound, multi-track, multi-radio mikes. I was also on the royal Roster. This was a valuable experience leaving me the ability to be extremely flexible.
I went freelance just before the unit was disbanded and have for the last 12 years found a niche in the world of commercials for companies like Paul Weilands, Rouge,Gorgeous, Another, Blink, Therapy, Partizan, and BBC/RedBee, working with some of the most talented DOPs in the UK. There have been the odd breaks like the Beatles Anthology, second unit sound mixer on Flight 93and a Mozart Opera in Istanbul.
I have a full PSC and drama sound kit, my own sound studio for sound design and music.
