A second chance to attend this one day health and safety seminar run by Guy Littlemore, freelance cameraman, who specialises in training for all aspects of safety in broadcast situations and was highly appreciated by participants when it was held in 2009.
The seminar aims to give sound guidelines on priority health and safety issues to employees as well as freelancers, in the entertainment industry. The information provided will reflect elements of the Skillset standards X1,X2, X3.5 and HSS1.
The main topics will include:
The session will reinforce the idea that people can actively look after themselves, their colleagues and others. Think about the tasks we are about to undertake, assess and reduce any risks. Attitudes towards health and safety are slow to change, but change within this industry is needed and it should be built-in, not bolted on to what we all do.
The most important point of all is to stop people getting injured at work!
