The IBS is hosting a SADiE 6 demonstration in the newly refurbished Hexagon Theatre, at the Midland Arts Centre, Cannon Hill Park, Birmingham, B12 9QH, on Wednesday the 12th of October 2011. The entrance to the free car park is opposite Edgbaston Cricket Ground.

TIMETABLE
Arrive and gather for tea or coffee from 11:15. The first session begins at 12:00, with a one-hour presentation given by SADiE’s Pete Nash and Steve Penn.

A buffet lunch will then be provided at 13:00.

At around 13:45 Peter and Steve will start the afternoon’s proceedings with a question and answer session, followed by practical workshops.

We asked SADiE to prepare topics such as:

• PC minimum spec
• Sound card recommendations
• Difference in functionality between their:
• - Radio Producer
• - Post Suite
• - Mastering Suite
• - Sound Suite – all of the above and how to switch between them
• Setting up edl and mixer templates for
• - Stereo recording
• - Multi-track
• - Post –
• Working sync to picture
• Interfaces – break out boxes and outboard kit requirements
• Plug-ins
• The program’s new appearance

This meeting is deliberately being held earlier in the day to allow members from all over the UK to attend without having to stay overnight. We look forward to welcoming you to what promises to be a very interesting event.
