Govt announcement on compensation

Posted 30/07/2010

The Department of Business Innovation and Skills (BIS) made an announcement on 28 July regarding compensation for PMSE users: View original press release

It looks like good news for Ch 69 users, but not so for any users of Chs 31 – 37, and/or 61-68, unless their kit is Ch69 capable. The most important points to note are that for just about the first time the government are now using the words ‘generous compensation’, and ‘significant contribution’.

Also note that the age of equipment needing replacement will not be relevant.

However for a view of how it affects non-chan 69 users see Save Our Sound UK
